Hershey's iconic "Christmas Bells" advertisement first aired in December 1989. The commercial depicts 11 Hershey Kisses as handheld Christmas bells, playing "We Wish You A Merry Christmas". After airing in 1989, the commercial has come back for every holiday season since, airing each year in the United States and Canada. This ad has become the longest-running commercial for the Hershey Brand. In 2012, the ad was edited with new audio recordings, and the graphics were redone with CGI (it was originally stop-motion). Since then, that version has been played every year, with minor updates and changes every few years.
