On April 1st, 1976, Apple Computer Company was founded by Steve Jobs, Steve Wozniak, and Ronald Wayne in Jobs' garage in Palo Alto, California. Ronald Wayne was only a part of the new venture for twelve days, after which he sold his 10% share in the company back to Jobs and Wozniak for only $800. After moderate success with the Apple I computer, the company went on to be incorporated as Apple Computer, Inc. in 1977, with the release of one of the first mass-produced personal computers - the Apple II.
