On April 16th, 2007, the Sam Raimi-directed superhero film, "Spiderman 3" premiered in Tokyo at the Tokyo Film Festival. The film served as the sequel to "Spiderman" (2002) and "Spiderman 2" (2004), and starred Tobey Maguire, Kirsten Dunst, James Franco, and more. The movie was later released in the United States in regular and IMAX theaters on May 4th, 2007. "Spiderman 3" earned $891.6 million in the box office, on a $258 million production budget, making it the highest grossing film of the "Spiderman" trilogy, as well as the tenth-highest-grossing film of all time at the time of its release.
