On February 12th, 1993, the Bill Murray comedy, "Groudhog Day" was released to U.S. theaters. The film was directed by Harold Ramis, who also wrote and co-starred with Bill Murray in "Ghostbusters". "Groudhog Day" became a box-office success when it was released, earning just over $105 million on a $14.6-30 million budget for production. The success of the film led to it becoming one of the highest-grossing films of 1993.
