On July 10th, 1987, the Pixar short film, "Red's Dream" premiered at the annual SIGGRAPH conference in Anaheim, California. Directed by John Lasseter, it was Pixar's second computer-animated short film following "Luxo Jr." in 1986. Created on Pixar's own Pixar Image Computer, it was never attached to any later Pixar feature film (like most Pixar short films were), but was released to theaters in 2004 with the animated film, "Home on the Range", and was included in two home video collections: "Tiny Toy Stories" (1996) and "Pixar Short Films Collection, Volume 1" (2007).
