On June 19th, 2015, Pixar's "Inside Out" was released to U.S. theaters! Directed by Pete Docter (who also directed one of the best Pixar films - "Monsters Inc."), it starred the voices of Amy Poehler, Phyllis Smith, Richard Kind, Mindy Kaling, and more! Development for "Inside Out" took five-and-a-half years on a budget of approximately $175 million. The film was first shown at the 68th Cannes Film Festival on May 18th, 2015. It received critical acclaim for all aspects of the film, and went on to gross $858.8 million in the worldwide box-office, finishing its theatrical run as the seventh-highest-grossing film of 2015. The film was nominated for two awards at the Academy Awards, winning Best Animated Feature.
