On June 27th, 1986, the Jim Henson film, "Labyrinth", was released to theaters in the United States. With George Lucas as executive producer, the film starred Jennifer Connelly and David Bowie. With a production budget of $25 million, "Labyrinth" underperformed in the United States box-office, only grossing $12.9 million during its initial theatrical run. But, when the film was released in the UK on December 2nd, 1986, it became a big hit, bringing the films worldwide box office gross to just over $34 million.
