Today in Film History (May 30th, 2003): PIXAR Releases "Finding Nemo"!

On May 30th, 2003, Pixar released "Finding Nemo". The film tells the story of an overprotective clown fish named Marlin, who, along with his new friend Dory, goes on a long, treacherous search for his son, Nemo, all while learning to take risks on the way! The film received positive critical reviews, with critics praising its visual elements, screenplay, animation, and the music. It became the highest-grossing animated film at the time of its release, and the second highest-grossing film of 2003, earning a total of $871 million in the box office! The film won the Academy Award for Best Animated Feature, becoming the first Pixar film to do so.
