On November 21st, 1985, "Rocky IV" premiered in the United States. Starring, written, and directed by Sylvestor Stallone, the punches in his fight scenes with Dolph Lundgren (in his US film debut) were authentic, leading Stallone to intensive care. The film is well-known for its Cold War themes, as well as it's two successful theme songs: "Burning Heart" by Survivor (which reached #2), and "Living in America" by James Brown (which hit #4). "Rocky IV" was officially released to U.S. theaters on November 27th, 1985, and was a box office success, grossing $300 million worldwide, making it the highest-grossing "Rocky" film, and the third-highest-grossing film of 1985. The training montage in this film was highly praised by critics, and has become the films most iconic scene.
