Today in Film History (November 5th, 2004): Disney Pixar's "The Incredibles" was Released to Theaters!

On November 5th, 2004, the Disney/Pixar film, "The Incredibles" was released to theaters. Written and directed by Brad Bird, the film stars the voices of Craig Nelson, Holly Hunter, Sarah Vowell, Samuel L. Jackson, and more! The film debuted at the El Capitan Theatre on October 24th, 2004. Upon release on November 5th, the movie earned $632 million in the worldwide box office, finishing its theatrical run as the fourth-highest-grossing film of 2004.The film was widely critically acclaimed, and won Best Animated Feature and Best Sound Editing at the 77th Academy Awards. Today, the film is widely considered to be one of Pixar's best, and its success led to a sequel, "Incredicles 2" in 2018, and an upcoming 3rd film in 2027.
