Today in Tech History (August 24th, 1995): Microsoft Released "Windows 95"!

Windows 95 is an operating system made by Microsoft. It was released on August 24, 1995 after one of the most famous and anticipated technology product launches in history! Win95 merged two of Microsoft's former operating systems, MS-DOS and Windows. Win95 introduced many features that are still being used on Windows operating systems today such as the task bar, notification area, and the "start" button. Windows 95 was followed by Windows 98 in 1998. Support for Win95 ended on December 31, 2000. Today, it remains one of the most important products in personal computing history.
