On July 20th, 1969, Apollo 11 astronauts Neil Armstrong and Buzz Aldrin landed on the Moon's surface, becoming the first humans to land on the Moon! The Apollo Lunar Lander Module, nicknamed the "Eagle", landed in the Moon's "Sea of Tranquility" at 20:17 UTC on July 20th. 6 hours later, at 2:56 UTC on July 21st, Armstrong became the first man to set foot on the Moon, with Aldrin joining him 19 minutes later. The two of them spent a total of two and a quarter hours collecting lunar material, and Michael Collins piloted the Command Module in Lunar orbit. The Moon Landing became the most-watched television broadcast in American history, with approximately 150 million viewers tuning in to watch, with about 600 million watching worldwide!
