Today in Tech History (November 14, 2006): Microsoft Releases the Zune!

On November 14, 2006, Microsoft released the ill-fated competitor to the Apple iPod: the Zune. It was well known by its nickname, the "iPod Killer", but the Zune became a massive failure, and is often considered one of the biggest failures in technology history. The Zune was discontinued less than 5 years later, and the end of the Zune marked Microsoft's decline with the end of the PC Era.
