On April 14th, 1993, the children's science education television program, "Bill Nye the Science Guy" premiered on American television. The show originally aired in syndication, until February 5th, 1999, but, its second season began airing on PBS from October 10th. 1994 to September 3rd, 1999. The show was critically acclaimed, and was nominated for 23 Emmy Awards, winning 19. In total, 100 episodes of "Bill Nye The Science Guy" was produced, with an added pilot episode.
