On April 5, 1987, the first episode of "The Tracey Ullman Show", starring Tracey Ullman, debuted on Fox. It was Fox's second original primetime series to air, following "Married.... with Children", and ran for four seasons and 81 episodes until May 26, 1990. The show blended sketch comedies with musical numbers, with dance routines being choreographed by Paula Abdul. The show is also credited to bringing fame to "The Simpsons", who appeared in 48 short animated films until they were adapted into a series in 1989.
