"Guess what? I gotta fever, and the only prescription, is more cowbell!"
On April 8th, 2000, the "More Cowbell" skit aired live on Saturday Night Live. Possibly the most iconic and most-referenced skit in SNL history, the skit starred regular cast member Will Ferrell as the session musician who plays the cowbell during the recording sessions for Blue Oyster Cult's classic song, "(Don't Fear) The Reaper", as well as guest host Christopher Walken as the fictional music producer, Bruce Dickinson. The skit is often referenced in pop-culture, with there even being a Tesla easter-egg called "Rainbow Road" that plays the "More Cowbell" soundtrack.
