On August 17th, 2007, the first episode of "Phineas and Ferb" premiered on the Disney Channel. Created by Dan Povenmire and Jeff "Swampy" Marsh, the show originally aired for four seasons between 2007 and 2015, and returned for two additional seasons in Summer 2025. The creators had come up with the idea together while working on programs like "The Simpsons" and "Rocko's Modern Life" in the early 1990s, and pitched the idea for over 16 years to multiple different networks before selling to Disney. After a one episode preview premiered on August 17th, 2007, the series officially premiered on February 1st, 2008, and ran until its final episode on June 12th, 2015. On June 5th, 2025, "Phineas and Ferb" was revived for a fifth season.
