The show was created and produced by Stefan Hatos and Monty Hall, the latter serving as the host of the program for nearly 30 years. When the show first started, contestants wore formal attire, like suits and dresses, but eventually, audience members began to wear outrageous costumes to increase their chances of being selected, which later became a signature feature of the show. The current version of "Let's Make a Deal" premiered on CBS on October 5th, 2009, with Wayne Brady (from "Whose Line Is It Anyway") as host of the program.
