On January 15th, 1967, the first Super Bowl aired on television. Played at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum in Los Angeles, California, it was played between the Green Bay Packers and the Kansas City Chiefs. The final score was 35-10, with the Green Bay Packers pulling out the win to become the NFL champions. Since both NBC and CBS held the rights to nationally televise AFL and NFL games, it was decided that both networks would be allowed to televise the "big game". Super Bowl I remains the only super bowl in history to have been simulcast in the United States by two of the then-"Big Three" broadcast companies, although several recent Super Bowls have been simultaneously broadcast on Network TV as well as cable and streaming platforms.
