On March 30th, 2001, "The Fairly OddParents" premiered on Nickelodeon! Created by Butch Hartman, the series originated from shorts on Nickelodeon's showcase "Oh Yeah! Cartoons", which aired from 1998 to 2002. The "Fairly OddParents" were quite popular as shorts, as were greenlit as a 30-minute series, which aired from March 30th, 2001 to November 25th, 2006, totaling five seasons and 80 episodes. The series was revived on February 18th, 2008, and ran until July 26th, 2017, when Hartman left Nickelodeon. "The Fairly OddParents" received generally positive reviews, and was the channels second-longest-running animated series, behind "SpongeBob SquarePants".
