On March 3rd, 1986, the iconic mystery legal drama, "Matlock", premiered on NBC! Created by Dean Hargrove, the series starred Andy Griffith, who rose to fame in the 1960s in "The Andy Griffith Show". "Matlock" also marked Griffith's return to a series for the first time since the "The New Andy Grffith Show" ended in 1971. The series aired on NBC until its sixth-season finale on May 8th, 1992, when it moved to ABC for the remainder of its run until May 7th, 1995. On September 22nd, 2024, Kathy Bates starred in the Matlock reboot, which aired on CBS!
