On September 10th, 1984, Alex Trebek made his debut as the host of the iconic game show "Jeopardy"! "Jeopardy had previously had two previous runs on NBC from March 1964 to January 1975 and October 1978 to March 1979, but the game show has been in constant production, airing daily since 1984. Johnny Gilbert started as the announcer for the show at the same time as Trebek's debut. Trebek hosted until his death, with his final episode airing on January 8th, 2021, after over 36 years in the role.
