On September 10th, 1984, the first episode of the animated series "Voltron" premiered on television. The series was adapted from a Japanese super robot anime series called "Beast King Go-Lion". "Voltron: Defender of the Universe" was the top-rated syndicated children's show for it's original two year run, and the final episode aired on November 18th, 1985.
