On September 22nd, 1986, the first episode of the sitcom, "ALF", premiered on NBC. ALF, who is short for "Alien Life Form", became a favorite character to kids of that generation, who would often own stuffed ALF dolls and other merchandise. "ALF" ran for four seasons and 97 episodes until March 24th, 1990, when the series ended on an unresolved cliff-hanger. A TV film called "Project: ALF" was made later in 1996 that served as the series finale for the franchise. In 2018, Warner Bros. announced that they had been developing an "ALF" reboot, but it was later canceled in November of that year.
