Today in Television History (September 9th, 1995): "Pinky and the Brain" Premiered!

On September 9th, 1995, the Warner Bros television show, "Pinky and the Brain", first aired on television. It was the first animated television series to be presented in Dolby Surround Sound, and the characters first appeared as a recurring segment on "Animaniacs" in 1993. Because of the success of the segment, it was adapted into a full on television series, with a total of 65 episodes produced until its end on November 14th, 1998. The characters later appeared in the spin-off series "Pinky, Elmyra, and the Brain", and in the 2020 revival of "Animaniacs".
