Blockbuster Video (1985-2020*) [VIRTUAL]

The first Blockbuster store opened in Dallas, Texas on October 19, 1985 and was founded by David Cook. Blockbuster was a store where you would go to rent video & movie tapes. It became a big part of culture in the 1980's and 1990's. Unfortuantely, as streaming had gotten more popular, Blockbuster's income started going down and in 2010, Blockbuster filed for bankruptcy. There is one last surviving store in Bend, Oregon although it is a privately owned franchise store.
