Edison Light Bulbs 

Thomas Edison first demonstrated the carbon filament light bulb in October 1879. They were also the first electric light bulbs, and were released commercially that same year. The tungsten filament was invented in 1904. An Edison bulb can be identified by its twisty filament and warm-yellow glow.
