Merlin
Parker Brothers released the "Merlin", a handheld electronic game in 1978. The game was invented by a former NASA employee named Bob Doyle, his wife Holly, and his brother-in-law Wendl Thomis. Merlin was one of the most popular handheld games of its time, and is notable for being one of the earliest and most popular handheld games, with an estimated 5 million units sold during its initial run. It is also considered one of the most long-lived handheld games, with its popularity remaining strong throughout the 1980s.
