Nobody Beats the Wiz

"Nobody Beats the Wiz" Total Entertainment Center was an american electronics retailer based in the Northeastern United States. It was founded by the Jemal Brothers in New York City in 1977. Originally known as just simply, The Wiz, they changed their name to their well-known advertising slogan later on. In the 1990's, The Wiz was the sponsor for many NY sports games and franchises. In 1998, with 80 stores, The Wiz filed for bankruptcy and was acquired by Cablevision for $80 million. The chain, who had been still alive through Cablevision, was permanently closed in 2003.
