iPhone 4 - Fourth Generation iPhone (2010-2013)
Apple, Inc.
✅ iPhone 4
The iPhone 4, launched on June 24, 2010, was heralded by Steve Jobs as a "reinvention" of the smartphone, introducing a radical industrial design that abandoned the curved plastic of previous models for a "glass sandwich" held together by a structural stainless steel band. This band famously doubled as the device's antenna system—a decision that eventually led to the "Antennagate" controversy, where users reported signal loss when holding the phone in a way that "bridged" the antenna gaps. Beyond its looks, the iPhone 4 debuted the Retina Display, which packed four times the pixels of the iPhone 3GS into the same 3.5-inch screen, creating a density of 326 ppi that made individual pixels invisible to the naked eye. It was the first iPhone to feature a front-facing camera, enabling the launch of FaceTime, and it was powered by the first Apple-designed silicon, the A4 chip. With the introduction of iOS 4, the device finally brought native multitasking and app folders to the platform, solidifying the iPhone 4 as the blueprint for the modern smartphone's high-resolution, multi-tasking era.
