iPhone 4

The iPhone 4, unveiled in June 2010 with the bold tagline "This changes everything. Again," introduced a radical "glass sandwich" design that abandoned the curves of its predecessors for a slim, stainless steel frame that doubled as the device's antenna system. It was the first to feature the revolutionary Retina Display, packing 326 pixels per inch to make text and images appear perfectly smooth to the human eye, and it debuted FaceTime via the first-ever front-facing camera on an iPhone. Under the hood, it ran on Apple’s custom A4 chip and introduced a 5-megapixel rear camera capable of 720p HD video recording, a massive leap for mobile photography at the time. Despite its critical acclaim, the launch was famously marred by "Antennagate," where users reported signal loss when gripping the lower-left corner of the steel band, leading Steve Jobs to host a rare press conference and offer free rubber "bumpers" as a fix. The iPhone 4 enjoyed an exceptionally long lifespan as a budget-friendly entry model until it was officially discontinued in most global markets on September 10, 2013, following the release of the iPhone 5s and 5c.
