Power Mac G4 Cube:
Apple CEO, Steve Jobs, announced the G4 Cube at MacWorld on July 19, 2000. It was designed by Jonathan Ive, and the computer was housed in acrylic glass. It was positioned in the middle of the product lines, between the iMac G3 (See Also) and the Power Mac G4 (See Also). Reviewers liked the design of the Cube, which won many awards, but disliked the high price of the machine compared to its power and its cosmetic defects. The computer was an immediate market failure, selling only 150,000 units by the time it was discontinued less than a year after release on July 3, 2001.
