"PIXAR" VHS Tape
In 1991, PIXAR released their first short films (with the exception of 1984's "The Adventures of Andre & Wally B), on VHS for the first time. The tape featured four Pixar short films: "Luxo Jr.", "Red's Dream", "Tin Toy", and "Knick Knack".
Luxo Jr.
"Luxo Jr." was an early Pixar short film that was directed by John Lasseter. The two minute short film premiered at the computer graphics conference, SIGGRAPH, to an applauding audience, and is considered a breakthrough in computer animation.
Tin Toy
Tin Toy was a short film that was directed by John Lasseter and premiered on August 2nd, 1988, at SIGGRAPH. Tin Toy was also the first computer-animated short film to win an Academy Award, and served as the inspiration for Pixar's first feature film, and the first feature-length computer animated film, Toy Story.
